    “Aaaaaa, what the fuck!`

“Irena in the time of the Corona”

“This is the end of the world as I know it!”

    Artwork

In the self-portrait, I want to show that my outward appearance has not changed during the Coronavirus crises. I am trying to find a way to express a strong and deep emotion that pervades me through my drawings. Those feelings are the sadness, fear and horror of debt slavery in the COVID-19 pandemic.

In my mind I keep playing refrain from REM "This is the end of the world as we know it". I see a dark world defined by a pandemic and its impact on the artist. For this drawing I chose to interpret artist Vincent from Kastav "Dead Dance" 1474. from Beram, and instead of a worker, I drew me, an artist, as skeletons lead me into financial ruin.

“Aaaaaa, what the fuck!" is a self-portrait that leans on Munch "Scream " and shows my face while the reflection of my consciousness constantly screams out of powerlessness.
