During the Pandemic, I have been reflecting on the temporary and transient aspect of time and therefore experiences. "Every state is a temporary state" is a series of video I started making in Lisbon a year ago and then developed during the pandemic where I write and draw with water on a black paper. The writings and drawing will then disappear, however the paper will be altered forever. The dried paper in fact has marks, even if barely visible of the signed made by the water that has evaporated. This led me to think about change and memory, progress and evolution even within the invisible. I wrote words like unlearning/undoing/unspoken or temporary/ever or even/after or educate/liberate, unknown/unanswerable.

My art practice is multidisciplinary: drawing, painting, automatic writing, installation, video, sound composition and ceramics. For me art is a way to explore and expose the contradictions and similarities within different cultural practices, a way to find unity in the fragmentation of life.

“Expression produces formal solutions, images and meanings and in my art practice I want to transcend the realms of science and religion, the private and the political, the transgender, macro and micro economies, plurality and uniqueness, the visible and the invisible.”

I was born in Venice and studied calligraphy in Korea University in Seoul and then obtained an Ma the History of Art of Africa and Asia from the University of London.
