    ARTWORK

    Home Learning Triptych.

The work examines the thoughts, hopes and feelings of a family during this unprecedented period of social distancing in the UK. The work looks at the concept that art is an expression of feeling and emotion at any age and hopes to ask ‘if art is art if the work is not created by professional artist and also if this art helps elevate isolation and add to the wellbeing of the creators and the observers’.

Material: Acrylic and yarn on canvas
    Size: 20 by 25 cm.

As a visual artist and workshop facilitator, I believe that art and craft are truly beneficial for well-being. My own art practice is varied and includes mindful art, textiles and mixed media works. During this current period of social distancing here in the UK, I have teamed up with my children to create work influenced by our thoughts and feeling about Coronavirus (COVID-19).
